21 Queensbury Street

The house at 21 Queensbury Street is a single storey timber and iron structure in the Federation Bungalow style. When this house was constructed around 1910 it would have been on the urban fringe of Bunbury’s townsite.

A letter featured in the Western Mail between Elsie Bell and her Aunt Mary (reference). It appears that Elsie Bell was the resident of 21 Queensbury Street, Bunbury (reference).

Dear Aunt Mary,-I suppose you are wondering why I have not written. Thank you very much for the card, -which I received today. On the day of my birthday it was also my father's birthday. We have shifted down here now, and we have some good times at the beach. A lot of us are going to the beach tomorrow. I hope you had a good Christmas, as I did. The weather down here has been very funny. One day it's hot. and the next day it's cold. Good-bye for this time. - I remain your sincere friend,

-ELSIE BELL.

You can have some great fun if you live by the beach, can't you. Elsie? I had a splendid Christmas, my dear.

-AUNT MARY.
