Bunbury to Fremantle Marathon 1992

A 140-kilometre marathon from Bunbury to Fremantle was held in 1992 (reference). The marathon was run as a relay in teams, with each participant running in one kilometre stretches eight times (reference). The team from the Royal Australian Air Force Pearce base in Bullsbrook, Western Australia, came first, completing the marathon in 9 hours and 22 minutes (reference). Other competing teams included the Police, Special Air Services and Transperth (reference).
