Our Sister City, Setagaya

Bunbury and Setagaya in Japan became sister cities in October 1992 (reference; reference).

The following year marked the first cultural exchange between the Japanese community of Setagaya and the Australian community of Bunbury (reference). The celebration lasted from 10 to 16 June 1993 and included performers from Setagaya visiting to display their acts at the Bunbury Eisteddfod Gala Concert on 26 June (reference). Amongst the Japanese performers were seven musicians, including Jido and three dancers who were reported to have performed brilliantly (reference).
