TAYLOR, Amelia Victoria (07/08/1887-20/11/1966). Amelia was born in Geraldton as the daughter of John and Emily Matilda née Okely. Amelia married in 1913 to Thomas Morris (22/12/1883-06/07/1961). Amelia was a telephonist in Fremantle. She also lived in Geraldton in 1896/1898, Bunbury and Perth.


TAYLOR, H., possibly Henry (1841-). He was from Bunbury and served his penal sentence. He employed two ticket of leave men in 1868 and 1870.


TAYLOR, Joseph (1836-28/04/1899). Joseph was born in England and died in Bunbury. He was the son of George. Joseph arrived on the Lady Amherst. Joseph married on 19/07/1866 to Mildred Mary Teede (15/04/1844-21/02/1907) in Beverly. Mildred was born in Guildford as the daughter of George Robert and Mildred May (originally Bird). John Taylor of Yangedine sponsored Joseph. Joseph was listed in the York Census 1859 as a Farmer, and his religion was Wesleyan. Joseph employed eight ticket of leave men at "Cubbine" and "Grady's Meadow" Beverley and three ticket of leave men at Williams River in 1868, 1869 and 1872. Joseph was a sheep farmer in Blackwood between 1875 to 1876.


TAYLOR, Ralph (1839-19/06/1901). Ralph died in Bunbury. 


TEEDE, Miss. In 1864 in Bunbury, she was an assistant teacher.


TEEDE, Charles Robert (13/03/1867-24/05/1937). Charles was born in Bunbury and died in Boulder. He was the son of George Robert and Hannah Elizabeth (originally Hough). Charles married on 28/12/1888 to Ada Florence Dean (05/01/1866-30/08/1915). Ada was the daughter of Edward Charles and Elizabeth. Charles' children were Dorothy (1890-1959) and Alan Rupert (1895-). Charles was a teacher at Geraldton Boys' School between 1887 and 1889. He was also a storekeeper at Manjimup.


TEEDE, Frederick James (21/03/1854-15/03/1896). Frederick was born in York to George Robert and Mildred May (originally Bird). Frederick married on 09/06/1880 to Mary Crampton (01/10/1857-01/04/1946). Mary was the daughter of John and Frances (originally Moore). Frederick's children were Theodore Frederick (1881-1944), Percival (1882-1948), George James (1884-1884), Gerald Hordern (1885-1951), Ida Caroline (1887-1972), Victor Bird (1888-1940) and Norman Leonard (1891-1948). Frederick was a business proprietor in Bunbury. He was a butcher in 1877 when he signed a petition regarding discrimination against expirees. Frederick employed a ticket of leave cook in 1886.


TEEDE, George Frederick (24/07/1870-04/07/1935). George was the son of George Robert and Hannah (originally Hough). George married on 06/04/1896 to Bertha Emily Roberts  (18/01/1872-16/08/1950). Bertha was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann (originally Properjohn). George's children were Douglas Vernon (1896-1971), Alma Eileen (1898-1971), Guy Stanley (1900-1959), Ernest Denziel (1903-1927), Reginald Thomas (1906-1960), Doris Maud (1910- ), Mervyn George (1905-1906), Neta Mary (1908-1909), Leonard Princep (1912-1977) and Clive Keith (1916-1917). George was a men's hairdresser at the "Rose Hotel" Bunbury in 1887. George built his own shop in 1924 on Stephen Street. George retired in 1935.


TEEDE, George Robert Senior (01/10/1811-02/03/1867). George was born in England and died in York. George arrived on 10/04/1842 on the Diadem with his wife and child. George married on 22/11/1840 to Mildred May Bird (06/03/1821-05/10/1878) in England. Mildred died in Bunbury. George's children were George Robert (1841-1907) born in England and died at sea, Mildred Mary (1844-1907) born in Guildford, Elizabeth Eliza (1845-1911) died in Victoria, Charles Bird  (1848- ) born in York, John (1849-1918) died in Boyup Brook,  an unknown female born and died in 1851, Catherine Ann (1852-1924) died in Bunbury, Frederick James (1854-1896), Louisa Frances (1856-1938), Caroline Isabella (1857-1902) died in Bridgetown, and Alfred Stuart (-1928) died in Bunbury. George left Australind to live at Guildford and went to York in 08/1847 to become a schoolmaster. He then became clerk of Courts between 1848-1851 and again in 1857 with added duties of Postmaster and Gaoler. George bought Town Lot 30 in 1854. He was a part of the Congregational Church.


TEEDE, George Robert Junior (18/08/1841- 24/04/1907). He died at sea on the Ophir. George arrived on 10/04/1842 on the Diadem with his parents. George married on 28/06/1866 to Hannah Elizabeth Hough (25/05/1847-20/10/1914) in Bunbury. Hannah was born in Bunbury as the daughter of James and Elizabeth. George's children were Charles Robert (1867-1937), William James (1868-1928), George Frederick (1870-1935), John Stirling (1872-1961), Agnes Maud (1874-1930), Joseph Binfield (1877-1931), Sidney Arnold (1878-1940), Ernest Alfred (1880-1953), Rose Mildred (1883-1944) and Daisy (1885-1949). George was educated at Bishop Hale's School. George was listed in the York Census 1859 as a teacher under his Schoolmaster father. George went to Bunbury as a teacher from 1862 to 1876. George was a clerk for the local court in 1870. In 1876, he was the general commission agent and a government land agent. George retired in 1906.


TEEDE, William James (12/12/1868-04/04/1928). William was born in Bunbury to George Robert and Hannah Elizabeth (originally Hough). William married on 22/05/1906 to Ada Gamble Huntingdon. Ada was born in South Australia and died 03/06/1907. William worked at the telegraph department in Fremantle and Perth and then in Bunbury between 1886 and 1887. William worked as an accountant for Thomas Hayward and Son in Bunbury.


THOMAS, E. He was from Bunbury and employed a ticket of leave labourer in 1870.


THOMAS, H. He was a carter in Bunbury between 1870 and 1872. 


THOMAS, W. He departed on 10/07/1850 on the Empress for South Australia. He also left in 11/1865 by the Aldinga for South Australia. He was a storekeeper in Fremantle from 1862 to 1864 and a storekeeper in Bunbury from 1868 to 1869.


THOMAS, William (-22/05/1886). Wiliam drowned in Shark Bay, leaving a wife and young family. He was a Fremantle storekeeper from 1862 and may have been one in Bunbury from 1868 to 1869. Thomas went North West for pearling with Isaac Doust Junior on 18/12/1872. He bought the Dolphin on 17/06/1877. William employed 50 people in 1882. He bought the Lily Blanche, a cutter from 1882 to 1885 in Shark Bay. According to the Government Gazette, William was also in charge of the Post and Telegraph Station from 1878 to 1886. William may have been a police Constable in1884 and dismissed at Roebourne.


THOMPSON, C. He was an expiree. He employed a ticket of leave man in 1862. In York, he hired a ticket of leave man in 1870. In 1880 Bunbury he employed a ticket of leave fencer.


THOMPSON, H. He was born in Bunbury and employed a ticket of leave labourer in 1863. According to the Almanack, he was a Government School Teacher from 1884 to 1889 in Perth. His wife was a dressmaker in Perth from 1884 to 1889. In Perth, he employed seven ticket of leave bootmakers and shoemakers on occasions from 1866 to 1873. 


THOMPSON, Henry. Henry married on 27/07/1855 to Elizabeth Properjohn (widow, originally Stennet) in Bunbury. Elizabeth arrived on 18/03/1841 on the Parkfield. Henry's children were Sarah Keziah (1858-) born in Bunbury, Emily (1859-), born in Bunbury and Elizabeth. Henry bought 10 acres at lot 188 Wellington District in 1857. Henry bought Bunbury Town Lots in 1866. Henry was a Carter in Bunbury from 1873 to 1889.


THOMPSON, Thomas (1832- ). He had served his penal sentence. Thomas arrived on the Lord Dalhousie. Thomas married on 17/05/1875 to Elizabeth Seymour (05/11/1854-) in Fremantle. Elizabeth was the widow of Henry William. Thomas' children were Mary Ann (1875-), born in Wesleyan, Annie Wells (1878-) born in Perth and Jane (1880-) born in Perth. In 1878 Thomas was a brickmaker in Perth. Thomas employed a ticket of leave shepherd in 1863 and a ticket of leave labourer in 1873.


THOMPSON, Thomas WaIter (1818-12/1847). Thomas arrived in 1840 on the Orient. Thomas bought Bunbury Town Lots 24, 31 and 80. Thomas advertised steam engines and a small library for sale in 04/1844. Thomas departed in 04/1844 on the Vixen for South Australia. Thomas departed by the Vixen to Colombo. Thomas died in Singapore while on his return to Australia.


THORNTON, John (1831-07/01/1674). John died at the Bunbury Depot as an expiree. John arrived on 04/07/1866 on the Belgravia. He was from Wokalup in the Wellington District. John employed a ticket of leave labourer in 1873.


THURGOOD, John (1820- ). John arrived on 08/08/1857 on the City of Bristol with his wife, Hannah (1821-04/01/1896). Hannah died in Toodyay/Northam. John was an agricultural labourer in Bunbury. He employed a ticket of leave man in 1872.


TILLETT, George. George had served his penal sentence. George employed twenty-three ticket of leave men between 1867 and 1872, including four sawyers, a thrasher and a shoemaker at Strahan, Wonnerup and Bunbury.


TIMLIN, James (1834-). James had served his penal sentence. James arrived on 11/02/1862 on the Palmerston. James was supposed to have left for the Eastern colonies on 11/07/1866. James employed five ticket of leave men at Bunbury from 1869 to 1871 and one at Williams in partnership with Young. James was admitted to Fremantle Invalid Depot as a pauper and Imperial Exchequer.


TIMPERLEY, Frederick Henry (30/07/1863-13/12/1905). Frederick was born in Geraldton as the son of William Henry and Rebecca (originally Properjohn). Frederick married Josepha Margaret Cummins (14/09/1866-18/05/1930) in Surry, England. Josepha was born in England and died in Perth. She was the daughter of Reverend Richard Swete Cummins. Fredericks children were Kathleen Maud (1897-1959), born in Bunbury and died in Perth, Harold John (1898-1954) was born in Bunbury and died in England, Dorothy Ethel (1900-1980), who died in Perth. Frederick was a Commission Agent in Bunbury. Frederick visited overseas and returned on 11/10/1884 on the Glengoil from London.


TIMPERLEY, William Henry (22/05/1833-11/08/1909). William was born in England as the son of Reverend William Thomas and Elizabeth Bradney (originally Evans). William arrived with his father and family in 1851. William married on 02/11/1858 to Rebecca Properjohn (20/02/1842-22/02/1910) in Bunbury. Rebecca was born in Western Australia and died in Perth. She was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth. William's children were Frank Charles (1859), who died during infancy, Elizabeth Maud (1860-1922), Hannah May (1862-), Frederick Henry (1863-1905), Edith Ada (1865-1935), Percy Oughton (1867- ), Mary Alice (1868-1947), Blanche baptised 1872, Forrest born and baptised in 1877 and Lewis Clayton (1879-1946). William was a member of the police force in Toodyay from 1856 to 1857. He became a Sub-Inspector. In 1860 William founded Geraldton Masonic Lodge. In Vasse in 1866, he became Inspector. In 1870 he travelled from Perth to England on leave and returned in 1884. William was the Superintendent of a Native Prison at Rottnest in 1885. He was the Resident Magistrate for Wellington, Blackwood and Sussex Districts from 1890 to 1905 in Bunbury. He retired to South Perth in 1905. William was awarded the Imperial Service Order. William was the author of "Harry Trevertoo" and "Bush Luck". William employed two ticket of leave men in 1851 and 1853. William was a member of the Church of England.


TINDALE, John Henry (17/07/1870-14/11/1955). John was born in England and died in Perth. He was the son of John and Hannah (nee Hepburn). John arrived on 16/09/1887 on the Helena Mena with his parents. He married on 11/3/1896 in Perth to Caroline Louise Milford (09/03/1874-). She was the daughter of Henry and Alice Louisa (nee Bayliss). Their children were Nita (1899-), Gordon (1900-), Eileen (1904-), John (1907-) and Arthur (killed in World War II). John was a pharmacist but was stated to be a clerk on the shipping list. He was indentured in England and completed training in Perth under Edward Mayhew. He worked at York and Bunbury. After returning to Perth, he worked with Edmund Dean and Co. In 1894 he was at Guildford until 1951. He was the Vice President of the Guildford Swimming Club.


TOMB, Hugh. He arrived on 09/1877. Hugh visited Melbourne on 11/01/1885 on the Franklin. He was a Bunbury clerk in 1877 and at the sawmills in 1880. He was the manager of the Collie sawmill in 1884. He managed Augusta Karridale Timber Station from 1886 to 1889.  


TOMKINSON, George (1829-). George was born in England and was an expiree. He arrived on 10/02/1853 on the Dudbrook. George married Mary Ann. Their children were Elizabeth Jane (1867-), Edward Henry (1869-) and Waiter James (1870-). George may have been a currier or tanner in Perth, 1869. He may have lived in Bunbury from 1884 to 1885.


TOMKINSON, W. G. He visited Perth from Bunbury in 05/1882 and returned on the Macedon.


TOMLIN(E), John (1818-09/04/1907). John died in York. He was the son of William. John remarried on 06/12/1870 in Beverley to Sarah Horn(e) (1814-15/10/1914). Sarah was born in England and was the widow of Charles. John may have employed a tick of leave man at Bunbury in 1870. John was a labourer at Avondale, Beverley from 1884 to 1885. 


TOUHY (TOOHEY), Catherine (1833-). Catherine married in 1854 to Henry Offer in Bunbury. She was on Salvado's list in 1854. Her religion was Roman Catholic. 


TOWERS, Solomon (1821-25/04/1881) Solomon died in Bunbury. He was a Kojonup shepherd who committed suicide when he could not secure admission to the Invalid Depot.


TOZER (TOYER), Ada (1870-). Ada arrived on 21/02/1887 on the Hampshire. They were stowed away on the Rob Ray to Bunbury with 14-year-old Adelaide Stevens. The Resident Magistrate found them work at "Brookhampton". 


TRAVIS, James Brown. James married Julie. He remarried on 28/6/1869 to Hannah Burnham Mason (1841-12/01/1877), the widow of Henry. Hannah was the daughter of Samuel Burnham Bryan and his wife, Anne. Their children were Maude Mary (1864-) in Bunbury, Amanda (1870-), Kate Adellne (1874-) and Nelson Benedict (1876-1912). James was an American whaler. He corresponded about land in 1861 in Caple Hill. He was a farmer in Busselton from 1867 to 1877. James employed five ticket of leave men in 1866 and 1869 including a fencer and a splitter. 


TRlGWELL, Charles Raymond (13/01/1856-). Charles was born in Bunbury as the son of Henry and Agnes Ann. Charles married on 14/11/1883 to Frances Moore (23/8/1862-). Frances was the daughter of John Arthur and Mary Eliza. Their children were Elsie Curtis (baptised 1885), Clarence Alexander Walker (Baptized 1887) and Harold Garland (Baptised 1891). Charles was a blacksmith in 1885 in Donnybrook. He was a member of the progress association in 1894. His wife was a postmistress from 1888 to 1895. Upon her retirement, they went farming at "Range" some miles out of town


TRIGWELL, Henry (1817-1890). Henry arrived on 18/12/1851 on the Anna Robertson, with his family of five children and wife, Agnes Ann Garland (1822-05/06/1898). She was born in Gibralter and died in Bunbury. Their children were Henry John (1844-1900), John (1846-1900), Elizabeth (1850-1892), Walter William (1853-), George (1855-), Charles Raymond (1856-), Thomas (1857-), Harriet Agnes (1859-), Caroline Emma (1861-), Richard James and Alfred (1864-).  Henry was a second Corporal Instructing Warder at Fremantle of Royal Engineers. He was a Sergeant when he was discharged on 21/12/1861. He moved to the Wellington district. In Blackwood, he was a farmer and grazier in the 1860s on the Preston River. He had 60 acres of land in 1868. He was a publican and innkeeper for the "Anchor and Rope Inn" from 1869 to 1885. His wife was the local midwife. He employed four ticket of leave men, including a bricklayer on occasions between 1868 and 1880. 


TROTT, James (1830-04/08/1884). James died while on the road to Albany and he was an expiree. James arrived on 02/06/1855 on the Stag. He employed a ticket of leave man at Bunbury in 1869.


TROTT, Thomas (25/10/1822-). Thomas was an expiree. He arrived on 01/06/1850 on the Scindian. Thomas married on 15/08/1851 with the Church of England and on 25/08/1851 with the Roman Catholic to Ellen Mary Mead (1840-). Their children were William (1854-), Ellen Maria (1857-1924), Hary A (1859) born in Bunbury, James (1862-), Elizabeth Mary (1865-), Henry Thomas (1867-), Harriet (1869-), Caroline (1872-), George S (1875-), Ellen F (1877-), Maria (1879-) and Edward. In Bunbury he was a mason and bricklayer. Thomas employed seven ticket of leave men on occasions from 1864 to 1871.


TROTT,  William (20/11/1854-). He was born in Bunbury as the son of Thomas and Ellen. Their child was EIlen Eliza (1876-), who was born in Bunbury. William was a stonemason and builder in Bunbury from 1885 to 1887. He moved to Albany in 1886. He was employed on major works at Albany, including the Town Hall in 1888. He employed a ticket of leave brickmaker at Bunbury in 1879.


TROY, Patrick (01/121851-13/07/1916). Patrick was born in Ireland and died in Guildford. He was the son of Richard Michael Mary. He arrived on 13/06/1853 on the Sabrina with his parents. He married Mary Carlotta Teresa Butler (15/08/1856-). She was the daughter of John Martin and Mary. Their child was Patrick Aloysius (1895-). Patrick joined the Western Australian police force in 1873. He moved from Fremantle to Harvey in 1874, Victoria Plains in 1875 and Mt. Wittenoon in 1880. He was a sergeant at West Kimberley in 1886, Bunbury in 1888, and then Geraldton. He was a travelling Inspector in 1894 and resigned to be Goldfields Warden in mines deport and Resident Magistrate at Coolgardie (Bulong) Murchison in 1903. He was the acting magistrate in Perth, Midland Moora and RM (Swan). He resigned on 30/04/1916 because of ill health. His reports on Kimberley tours of inspection are memorable for detail and accuracy. 


TUNNlCLlFFE, Elizabeth (1865-). She arrived on 11/03/1884 on the Natal from London. Her child was Mary Ellen. She was nominated by John Harrison of Bunbury and was sent to that district to find work. She was in prison in 1887 and was expected to enter an Immigrant home after release on 02/03/1887. 


TURNER, John Henry (1838-). John arrived on 28/08/1875 on the Daylight from London with his wife Elizabeth (1845-). Their children were Arthur (1865-), born in the UK, Emily Elizabeth (1875-), born in the UK and Henry (1880-), born in Bunbury. He was a farrier and ran a veterinary surgeon. 


TYLER, Enoch Edmund (18 /11/1858-). He was born in Bunbury. He was the son of Andy and Elizabeth. In Bunbury he was a carter in 1885.


TYLER, Andy (1821/05-06/12/1842). He was from London. Andy arrived on the Trusty. He married on 12/01/1854 in Bunbury to Elizabeth Snowden (1837-). She arrived on 01/06/1853 on the Sabrina. Their children were Thomas Sowden (1857-), Enoch Edmund (1858-), Charles Henry (1861-) and George (1870-). All their children were born in Bunbury and baptised into the Church of England. He bought a Busselton Town lot in 1852. He was a Bunbury farmer. He employed three ticket of leave men on occasions between 1865 and 1879.
